Frank Sherlock and the Philadelphia Poetry scene are synonymous. His work has been published widely in the small and electronic press. He is the author of Wounds in an Imaginary Nature Show, (Night Flag Press), Spring Diet of Flowers at Night, (Mooncalf Press), ISO, (furniture press) and 13, (ixnay press). Past collaborations include work with CAConrad, Jennifer Coleman and sound artist Alex Welsh. His most recent work is a collaborative poem with Brett Evans, entitled Ready-to-Eat Individual , published by Lavender Ink, New Orleans. Frank has hosted a number of poetry series in Philadelphia, and he is a regular contributor to The Philly Sound Blog. You can visit with Frank at http://franksherlock.blogspot.com/

Ryan Walker is the author of Enjoy Potion from The Interrupting Cow Press- among so many other poems that are quickly accumulating
into an evolving panopticon- an aviary - a scooter trope textile gulag of
the ordinary - a poetry - lyric in it’s particulars, particularities -
swept sign- shine-

_______________________________________________________

Adam Good makes some people think of the word
“wholesome.” He edits the online journal Your
Black Eye & his work is available in digital form at
rockheals.com and fascicle.com. He would rather
be a strategist than a poet. Perhaps it’s possible to
be both, so we’ll let him tell us about it.

“A master of pseudonyms and of schizophrenia, his influence is clearly felt everywhere.” - Istvan Kantor, reprinted in: Géza Perneczky, The Magazine Network, Edition Soft Geometry, Cologne 1993.

Blaster Al Ackerman currently lives and works in Baltimore, Maryland. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Blaster came to Baltimore in the early 1990’s and has since been involved in the various and penetrating underground artist activities such as the Shattered Wig Review and 14 Karat Cabaret events, and other endeavors designed to confuse the boundaries between illicit, enlightening, and illegal.

Blaster has been a Mail Art practitioner since 1972, a time when the form was just beginning to emerge as a vital underground art movement. The work ranges from collaged postcards, letters, and envelopes sent between Blaster and his frequent correspondents, as well as Xeroxed and original illustrations, paintings, art stamps, painted jackets, and illustrations for a variety of underground and self-published zines and TLPs (otherwise known as Tacky Little Pamphlets).

Blaster is a also a well-known literary figure in avant-garde literature, and has been published in The Shattered Wig Review, Lost and Found Times, Popular Reality and others. Among his books are: “Confessions of an American Ling Master”,” I Taught My Dog to Shoot A Gun,” (both on Popular Reality Press), “Blaster: The Al Ackerman Omnibus” (FEH Press, NY, NY) and several publications from Luna Bistonte Press (Columbus, OH) and Shattered Wig Press (Baltimore, MD).

Jessica Smith’s first book, Organic Furniture Cellar, was praised by Ron Silliman as the “most important” book of 2006. Jessica uses the landscape of the page to challenge a reader’s expectations of poetry and of reading as a physical activity, resulting in what Lisa Jarnot called “a velvet Olson.” Raised in the Poetics Program at SUNY Buffalo, Jessica has edited the magazines name and Foursquare. She maintains a blog at looktouch.com.

Morgan Lucas Schuldt is the author of Verge (Parlor Press: Free Verse Editions, 2007) and Otherhow (Kitchen Press, 2007), a chapbook. His poems have appeared in Fence, Verse, and LIT; online at Shampoo, Coconut, Typo, and Free Verse; and in the anthologies Prose Poetry / Flash Fiction: An Anthology (2006), The Bedside Guide to No Tell Motel, Second Floor (2007) and Best New Poets 2007. A brief essay on the poet Larry Levis appears in A Condition of the Spirit: The Life and Work of Larry Levis (Eastern Washington University Press, 2004), and an interview with Charles Wright is forthcoming in the collection Charles Wright in Conversation: Fifteen Interviews. A graduate from the University of Arizona’s MFA program, Morgan lives in Tucson where he edits the literary magazine CUE.

Buck is one of America’s most inventive, provocative & unsung poets. He is currently working on a performance piece called “Shaving the Bear” where he has allowed former Baltimore poet Kevin Thurston to move in with him.

Rupert Wondolowski is currently a crab shack in a lead heavy corner of Curtis Bay weeds. He edits Shattered Wig Review, hosts Shattered Wig Night and co-owns Normal’s Books & Records in Baltimore. He is currently working on a story and poem collection called “The Origin of Paranoia As a Heated Mole Suit” and watching You Tube posts of Buck Downs shaving Kevin Thurston’s back. (Speaking of which, please check out Rip Torn and Norman Mailer’s tete-a-tete on said internet device.)
